120 Hours.
ADMISSION TO THE COLLEGE.
To pursue this major, students must be admitted to the College of Business by achieving admission after earning a minimum LSU and Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a minimum of 30 hours of university coursework, including the Pre-Business Core classes (ENGL 1001, MATH 1021, MATH 1431, ECON 2000, ISDS 1102, and ACCT 2001) with a grade of "C" or better as well as achieving a Business GPA of 2.5.

SCHOLASTIC REQUIREMENTS.
* Students are required to earn at least a grade of "C" in each accounting course taken for the course to qualify as a prerequisite for another ACCT course.
* Continued enrollment in the College is dependent upon satisfying the following requirements:
- Maintain a 2.0 LSU and Cumulative GPA;
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 Business GPA;
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress toward completion of the degree.

NOTE ON PREREQUISITES: Business students cannot receive credit for ACCT 2000, ECON 2030, FIN 3715 or ISDS 1100.

NOTE ON HONORS COURSES: The Honors equivalent of any course may be substituted when the course is a required prerequisite.

RECOMMENDED PATH & CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS.
The RECOMMENDED PATH shows how one may complete the curriculum in 4 years. CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS must be met by the indicated semester to be considered “on track” and making progress in the degree:

Sem 1: "C" or better in ENGL 1001 and ISDS 1102; 2.5 Cumulative GPA.
Sem 2: "C" or better in ECON 2000 and MATH 1431; 2.5 Business GPA; 2.75 Cumulative GPA.
Sem 3: "C" or better in ACCT 2001; ECON 2010; 2.5 Business GPA; 2.75 Cumulative GPA.
Sem 4: ACCT 2101 and ISDS 2000; 2.5 Business GPA; 3.0 Cumulative GPA; Admission to the College.
Sem 5: "C" or better in ENGL 2000; ISDS 2001; 2.5 Business and Cumulative GPA.
Sem 6: 2.5 Business and Cumulative GPA.

1 - GEN. ED. NATURAL SCIENCE REQUIREMENT: If 2 course sequence is taken in the physical science, the additional 3 hour course must be taken from the life sciences, and vice versa.

REQUIREMENT 2: Choose from CMST 2060, 2061, 4113.

A Communication Intensive (C-1) course may be substituted for the Oral and Written Requirement with permission from an academic advisor.


3 - Business students cannot receive credit for ACCT 2000, ECON 2030, FIN 3715 or ISDS 1100.

4 - APPROVED MANAGEMENT ELECTIVES: A list of approved electives is available from the Rucks Department of Management and is posted on the Rucks Department of Management website.

5 - BUSINESS ELECTIVES: to be selected from the 3000 or 4000 level offerings of the following departments: ACCT, BADM, BLAW, ECON, FIN, GBUS, MGT, MKT, and ISDS.

ELECTIVES: choose any degree credit courses offered by the University consistent with their specific degree requirements. However, no more than six hours may be selected from kinesiology activity courses, band, chorus or music skills course. Up to six semester hours in ROTC may be used as electives in all business curricula.
